NH4HCO3 - Ammonium Bicarbonate, also called ammonium hydrogen carbonate, is a white, crystalline powder. It is soluble in water but non-soluble in alcohol and acetone. It decomposes at 36 to 60C to the base of ammonia, carbon dioxide and water vapor. It is used in baking powders and in fire-extinguishing mixtures. It is also used in wide industries of plastics and rubber , compounding of cleaners and polishes and chemical manufacturing and as a basic fertilizer and fertilizer dressing as a source of ammonia.  Antonella Andreella

Il bicarbonato di ammonio (NH4HCO3) è un sale solido di colore bianco con un debole odore di ammoniaca. Viene prodotto dalla combinazione di ammoniaca con anidride carbonica. Stabile a temperatura ambiente, volatilizza decomponendosi a circa 60°C. I prodotti di decomposizione sono gas: ammoniaca, anidride carbonica e vapore acqueo.    Antonella Andreella

Ammoniumhydrogencarbonat, NH4HCO3 ist ein farbloses Kristallpulver, mit der Dichte 2,40 g/cm3 welches schwach nach Ammoniak riecht, sich sehr gut (176 g/l bei 20 °C) in Wasser löst und nach Salmiak schmeckt. Das Pulver neigt zum Verklumpen, beim Erhitzen zerfällt es in Ammoniak, Kohlendioxid und Wasser. Es ist als mindergiftig eingestuft.    Antonella Andreella
